Hello, I'm Shubhankhi 👋

A product designer who spent 4 years untangling enterprise systems.
Now I turn messy problems into products that feel simple.

I’m interested in the messy bit before the screen — understanding what people need, figuring out what the product should do and why, and making it feel obvious once it does.

About

I ask a lot of questions. Occasionally, they turn into products.

I started my career at Accenture, working on enterprise systems and learning how complicated products behave when real people, business rules, and technical constraints collide.

Somewhere along the way, I became more interested in the experience around the system than the system itself.

Now I bring those worlds together — engineering taught me how things work, enterprise systems taught me how businesses work, and design taught me to see both through the people using them.

How I think.

Note to self.

The first version doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to exist.

Human + AI > AI.

I use AI to move faster, explore further, and build more — without outsourcing the decisions that need human judgment. AI can help me get to a decision. It shouldn’t make the decision for me.

back

Systems before screens.

A simple interface usually depends on a lot of complexity being handled somewhere else. I like figuring out how the pieces connect, where that complexity should live, and what the product needs underneath before deciding what belongs on the screen.

Start with the person.

Before deciding what a product should do, I want to understand who it’s for, what they’re trying to do, and where things are getting in their way. The interface comes later. The person comes first.

A small collection of ideas I keep returning to while making things.

A few working principles.

Things I’ve learned, borrowed from experience, and occasionally have to remind myself of.

Some came from designing. Some came from building. Some came from getting things wrong. These are the ones I keep coming back to.

How I think.

A few things i keep coming back to

Offscreen

Curious about everything, normal about nothing.

Off-screen, I’m usually somewhere between fantasy books, Bollywood, TV shows and movies I have too many opinions about, half-finished DIY projects, extremely specific internet rabbit holes, and picking up hobbies faster than I can finish them.

Finish the thing

Book the flight

Read the books i already own

Start another hobby anyway
